What To Expect When You Contact Me

If you call me we’ll have a short, friendly chat about what you might like my help with, no obligation. If you text, email or complete the contact form I will email or text you back and let you know if I think my services could help you. I’ll offer you a free phone consultation at a time to suit you. This lets me find out a bit more about your concerns and the results you’d like to achieve.

I will ask a bit more about you and the issue or problem and the results you want to get. I can also answer any questions and offer more information about my services. If you decide to go ahead we can book a suitable time for your first session.

Getting started -taster package for all programmes we start with a taster package of one double therapy session and a subsequent single session, usually about a week, later. This lets you start to experience the benefits of hypnotherapy and get comfortable with this relaxing, enjoyable process. After completing the taster package, you can either book a block of 5 sessions at a discounted rate or just book and pay per individual session.

What Happens At Your First Session

We start with one double length session followed by a single session about a week later. The first session takes about 90 minutes. We’ll spend a little time chatting and getting comfortable with one another. We’ll identify your goals: what do you want more of? What do you want to let go of? How will you know you’ve made the changes you’re looking for? I’ll ask various questions about your life and your health. This helps me understand your problem(s) and select the right techniques for you. Towards the end of the session I may take you through a short session of hypnosis or another therapy.

Second And Subsequent Sessions

These sessions last between 45 minutes and an hour. After a short conversation about your plans and progress, more of the session will consist of hypnotherapy or other therapies that we have agreed on. I like to keep the sessions relaxed, interesting and enjoyable if possible. I may ask you to listen to a self- hypnosis recording or carry out simple self-help activities between sessions as these can really boost your success. You’re free to discontinue treatment at any time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I be asleep or unconscious?
You will not become unconscious. When hypnotised, people are relaxed but focused. Think of it as an absorbing, but relaxed daydream.

Are there some people who can’t be hypnotised?
Everyone can be hypnotised if they want to be. Like most things in life it gets easier with practice.

Can only weak–willed people be hypnotised?
According to research, the ability to be hypnotised does not relate to any specific personality trait, so it can work for anyone.

Will I tell you all my secrets?
Hypnosis can’t make you say or do anything you don’t want to. You are in control and the hypnotherapist is a skilled guide to help you with your problems.
